Area Foreman

Job Description:

• Steel Company in Thomasville, AL needs to add an additional Area Foreman to their supervisory team. 
• This position has rotating shifts, is eligible for over-time and production incentives, and has great benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Produces high quality products through maximizing the use of all resources.
• Maintain all ISO and API quality standards and process procedures
• Controls scrap generated during production.
• Involves the work force in developing improvements.
• Track key performance indicators, administer discipline, train, and coach employees. Ensure all paperwork is completed related to employee development.
• Ensure production and quality of product meets specifications.
• Assists in inspection and resolve problems with machines and equipment to ensure production
• Compliance with all local, state and federal requirements such as: OSHA, EEO, DOT.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
• Proficiency in Microsoft office package including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience in Shop Floor interfaces such as MES as well as SAP or Oracle based platforms
• Proven leadership skills.
